Megan Noonan, a native of Carmel, Indiana, began her ballet training under Suzann Delay. As a student she performed in productions with Central Indiana Dance Ensemble and Gregory Hancock Dance Theater. Megan has attended summer programs at Ballet Austin, Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Cincinnati Ballet, Regional Dance America’s National Choreographic Intensive, and Nashville Ballet. She earned a degree in Ballet with an outside field in Kinesiology from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music under the direction of Michael Vernon and the late Violette Verdy. At IU she performed in works such as Balanchine’s Raymonda Variations, Rubies, and Emeralds and Paul Taylor’s Musical Offering. Upon returning to her hometown she spent three seasons with Ballet Theatre of Indiana, performing in ballets such as Giselle (Giselle) and Sarah Farnsley’s Absolution. Her last several Decembers have been filled performing in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Yuletide Celebration as a dancer and featured artist. Currently she is a company member with Crossroads Dance Indy.
